Arms include the pre load adjuster and shim for the top of the king pin bushing. Arms have been machined to sit flat with the axle on the tie rod and drag link holes to relieve joint bind.

We have designed these arms with Ackerman angle, for a turning radius decrease of up to 22 percent! Yes a decrease in the overall circle your vehicle will need to turn in order to clear tight obstacles!

One of the only Dana 60 arms on the market that will help you turn tighter! We have also designed the arms to fit under Toyota trucks with full turning radius, basically the tie rod and drag link dimensions match our Toyota steering arms now! What be thy dimension you ask? King pin center to tie rod eye 4.250 and 6.625 for the drag link.

These arms also work great on Chevy/Ford/Dodge crossover steering kits as our pit man arm match's the 6.625 drag link eye length.


Arms are available in left and right hand, with single hole driver, and double hole passenger side, machined for 1 ton 7/8thsx18tpi GM taper tie rod ends. Please select from the drop down menu if you need Left, Right, both with hardware etc.

Arms have enough material to be machined for 3/4 bore hiem joint if desired.

The arms are designed for use with conical nuts and special longer studs provided by Sky's in the options. Can use factory Chevy driver side length or ARP studs as well. 

Installation:

Setting kingpin preload:

Jack up the bottom of the knuckle until its snug, but not lifting the axle, pull the cap, spring, plastic bushing, install the bronze (or leave the plastic one in if you don't have bronze) clean the mating surface of the knuckle up and install studs, set the preload washer on top of the bushing, install the arm on the studs. Thread the set screw into the arm until it seats on the Preload Washer. Now torque it to 15-20 ft-lbs. Drop the jack, adjust it from there.

**Note** 20 ft-lbs was the torque we needed to preload the kingpin to equal that supplied by the stock
spring. Use this number as a starting point. With the steering links disconnected from the knuckle, turn
it from lock to lock with your hands. If the knuckle has any vertical play, torque the set screw more. If
the knuckle is too stiff (use the other side to compare), back the setscrew off in 1/4 turn increments until
you get a desired kingpin preload.
Now Secure the Set Screw in place using the large nut.



Steering Arm Info:
Our steering arms are CNC machined out of ASTM A572 Grade 50 steel. We previously have used 1018 steel, but switched to a more rigid material (A572). Grade 50 is a very strong low alloy steel that fulfills our exceptionally high strength requirements, and is particularly strong for applications in which it is riveted or bolted. ASTM A572 Grade 50 is considered a "workhorse" grade and is widely used in many applications. Steel mills produce channel and heavy beams with Grade 50. It is commonly used in structural applications, heavy construction equipment, building structures, heavy duty anchoring systems, boom sections, structural steel shapes, and applications that require high strength per weight ratio.
