Fitment:

FAQ:

Kit is weld on, will require drilling the frame for the tube needed going through to hang shackles. Picture shown of how the shackles will sit. This will require basic geometry skills to square the hanger to the frame and shackles.

Kit will add 6" of lift over the springs. A stock spring will give you 6" of lift.

Ford super duty axle will require either swapping the rear 10.5 Sterling axle in place of existing axle or changing bolt pattern on the front axle from metric pattern to 8x6.5.

Laser cut and CNC formed PnO steel, made in the USA!

Front leaf hanger is 3/16th steel with a 3/16th skeleton brace, making it effectively 1/2" plate strength. Shackles are 3/8ths plate. Frame tube is 2x.250 wall DOM.  Kit uses a special machined UHMW bushing and 3/4" bolt for the frame tube for long life, and less bushing sway.

Installation:
This is a DIY kit, the simple way to install it is to bolt the kit, to the leaf springs, to the axle. Make sure you have them fairly square, then set axle under the truck. Determine where you want the tire to sit in the fender well and tack front hanger in place. Next set frame tubes directly under the frame with shackle vertical. The frame tube should be positioned through the frame at this vertical point, with 1"-1 1/2" of space from bottom of frame to the bottom of the tube. Tack tubes in place and set weight on the axle to double check position. Shackle should sit slightly rear ward, 15* and axle should be where it is desired.  If you are not satisfied with either the shackle angle or tire location,  cut tack welds and adjust.

Easiest SAS there is.

The metalwork is good, hardware seems high quality. The only issue I have with the kit is the main bushing that sits in the tube that is welded into the frame for the shackle mounts is too tight for the provided bolt, and there's no metal sleeve for the bushing. The front side bolt is probably 9/16" or 5/8" but I got a 3/4" diameter bolt for the shackle side. Not a big deal, replacements are cheap.

Other than that, it's a solid kit. I installed this on a 3/4 ton avalanche and ended up with 9" of lift on stock 47 inch k30 springs. The 2500 Avalanche frames are a bit odd so that or the k30 springs might be why it sits high. I got this kit because I wanted a simple solid axle swap, and the durability/simplicity of leaf springs, and that's what I got.

Ditched the IFS

I couldn’t believe the junk some people are getting away with and charging for an IFS lift. I was going through every wear item possible with what seemed to be less and less miles. The truck rode like garbage with my 40’s and was costing me more and more money haha..... I found this kit and slapped a superduty axle into my duramax, and I wouldn’t go back. No more this or that wearing out, tire shops always trying to nickel and dime me for wear items. Truck consistently drives solid now and I feel like I’m saving money.

Hi, Steven. Thank you for taking the time to leave a note. Who doesn't like saving money and look good doing it! We are excited to hear this kit helped you in more ways than expected. Here at Sky Manufacturing, we want to bring high end products to our customers without having to drain your bank account. I'm glad we could help get your truck working for you instead of you working for the truck. Thank you again for sharing your experience.
