New Dana 60 Reid Knuckle and Sky's Dana 60 5-stud Steering Arm kit!

Standard option is king pin spring style steering arms, we also now offer this kit with our spring less design steering arms. See info here.

The New Dana 60 5 Stud King Pin arms are machined from a solid block of 572 steel, the king pin cap is built in to the arm, and a grease zerk is provided. Arms are available in left and right hand, with single or double hole machined for 1 ton Chevy/Ford tie rod ends.

The arms are designed for use with conical nuts and special studs provided by Sky's included with this kit.

Sky's can custom build high steer kits!

Installation:

Setting kingpin preload:

Jack up the bottom of the knuckle until its snug, but not lifting the axle, pull the cap, spring, plastic bushing, install the bronze (or leave the plastic one in if you don't have bronze) clean the mating surface of the knuckle up and install studs, set the preload washer on top of the bushing, install the arm on the studs. Thread the set screw into the arm until it seats on the Preload Washer. Now torque it to 15-20 ft-lbs. Drop the jack, adjust it from there.

**Note** 20 ft-lbs was the torque we needed to preload the kingpin to equal that supplied by the stock
spring. Use this number as a starting point. With the steering links disconnected from the knuckle, turn
it from lock to lock with your hands. If the knuckle has any vertical play, torque the set screw more. If
the knuckle is too stiff (use the other side to compare), back the setscrew off in 1/4 turn increments until
you get a desired kingpin preload.
Now Secure the Set Screw in place using the large nut.

Reid Dana 60 Knuckles:
The strongest Dana 60 knuckles on the market, cast from high strength ductile iron and beefed up with extra material and ribbing. 100% interchangeable with a Ford Chevy Dodge kingpin knuckle, except uses stronger Chevy tie rod ends. 5 holes to accept 5 stud arms (4 bolt arms still fit).
Cast in steering stop eliminates bent stop bolts. Ford Knuckles accept one-ton Ford brakes with no modifications required. Tie rod holes can be drilled to accept 3/4" rod end. Powder coated bright orange for long lasting looks, fully machined and ready for installation!
