This will adapt 4 bolt Toyota brake boosters found on 84-95 Hilux pickup and 4Runner as well as some Tacoma with the 4 bolt booster.
This kit is designed to help stop 1 Ton axles in your Toyota. The stock master cylinder is just not matched to the 1 Ton brakes. Can also be used with smaller Dana 44 axle swaps. Not recommended for stock Toyota axles.
Includes:
1- Adapter
2 3/8ths bolts, flat washer, lock washer to bolt on the GM Master
1- push-rod.Â
Instructions:
A1-Cardone part number is 10-1584 for the correct master cylinder.
To double check that you have the correct master cylinder, the depth of the bore of the piston should be 1.5 inch's roughly.
The push rod should fit inside the master cylinder as pictured. Do not modify the push rod.
GM to Toyota Brake Line Adapter Fittings are required to adapt Toyota 10mm lines to the GM master cylinder. Fittings are simply an adapter and rely on your lines having good stock flare to seal, no torquing of fittings is needed, and will generally cause them to fail if over tightened due to bad flare.
