Decent quality, but too long

the studs themselves seem decent quality and pressed in fine, I Installed these on a 76 chevy "Big hub" Dana 44, but the studs
ended up being about 1/4 to 3/8 too long. they stuck out far enough that when the hub assembly is put back on, the studs hit the backside of the
hub and obviously the spindle nut couldnt be torqued or assembled right cause it wasnt in all the way because it was bottoming out on them. had to cut them down. but once cut to the right length all was well. not sure if these are a universal 44 stud but these were not ideal for the big hub 44 for future reference!

Thanks for the info, These are a stock Spicer part. I suspect the 8 lug 44 may take a shorter stud that's been discontinued as we cannot find one.
We've run into the same thing with Ford Ball Joint Dana 60 spindle studs. The Kingpin studs are about 3/16' too long but the shorter ones have been discontinued.
