92-97 Complete 05+ Coil Spring Swap Kit

NOW INCLUDING NEW ADJUSTABLE PANHARD BRACKET!

Over one year in prototyping, research and design went into developing this kit. 5 years of on road testing as of 2022. Our kit addresses the many shortfalls with other kits on the market.

What it is: Laser cut on a 6000 watt Mazak fiber laser for quality, CNC formed with Mazak 150 ton press brake and welded to perfection. Brackets are 1/4" A-36 PnO steel. This material is superior in strength and cleaner than run of the mill aftermarket products. Not plasma cut mill scaled plate, which is soft, impossible to coat decently without sand blasting, and will leave porosity in welds.

      Application:

      -Truck: 92-97 Ford F250/350 (80-97 F150/Bronco F250/F350 - SEE NOTES)

      -Axle: 05-16 Ford F-250/350 Dana 60

      Includes:

    • R/L Stock Height Coil Buckets
    • R/L Radius Arm Frame Brackets
    • R/L Swaybar Brackets
    • Panhard Bracket
    • Machined Pitman Arm included, not an additional option (choice of flat or drop)
    • Hardware-Grade 8 or equivalent

    • Additional Information:

Donor axles needed for the swap. 05-16 front Dana 60 from F-250/F-350. Axle, radius arms, trac bar, coils, sway bar with links, steering from pit man down. 8x170 bolt pattern. 05-10 F-450 axle 10 lug can be used but will require rear 10 lug DRW axle.

Rear axle can be 99-16. The 05-16 axle is preferred for larger brakes. The 08-16 axle with leaf springs is best if using the Ford-RSDSW leaf spring swap kit. 2wd conversions should acquire the factory rear block from the 4wd. For stock height leveled setup our 4" RSDSW can be used to eliminate the block for a net zero lift.

Kit is designed as a 1-2" lift over a factory F-250 2"/F-350 1" using a 4400 lb spring rate coil. This spring is a ADD code. This is also dependent on your trucks wheel base configuration, a std cab does not weigh the same as a crew cab long bed. There is no need for a custom cross member on 5 speed trucks at this height.

      The following is other various spring rates.   -5310-AHD = 6000 -5310-AGD = 5600 -5310-AFD = 5200 -5310-AED = 4800 -5310-ADD = 4400 -5310-ACD = 4000

This kit can be used with most Super Duty lift components that retain the factory frame brackets. The coil buckets add about 1.5-2" of lift over whatever spring you use.

If you have an unknown front axle, the sway bar links will be the best way to determine what you have. They are as follows:

05-07  bushing on bottom, stud top

      08-10  bushing top and bottom

      11-16   stud top and bottom

Some general dimensions that may persuade you to use this kit:Running a 275/70-18

Door handles will sit at 51" center-line. Front fender well will be 40". Hood to grill junction is 49.5"

FITMENT NOTES: Where the coil buckets and radius arm mounts the frames are all the same from 80-97 F150 through F350. Where the track bar (panhard) mounts on the frame rail there is an additional layer of 1/4" steel that wraps around to on the bottom of the frame rail on some 80-91 trucks. This requires a 1/4" shim to give the bracket a surface to mount to.

This piece is circled in the image below. This is how the bracket is supposed to sit as demonstrated on the 92-97 frame it was designed for.

We will be making a shim for this in the future.

      Awesome kit!

Great product and amazing support. Used Skys kit on my '95 F350 CCLB w/ a 24v Cummins swap. Rides so much better and the turning radius made it worth every penny. Super easy install and zero issues after. Used the 5310AHD springs to hold up the added weight from the cummins and it sits perfectly level. Definitely recommend!

      1997 F250 CCSB Axle Swap

Love this kit, best thing you can do for your OBS truck is get rid of the old leaf springs. I originally chose to use the 4000 lb springs which were ultimately close to factory height but still cleared 35’s on a 17x9 -9 offset wheel. Later on I decided to install a full Carli Back Country kit up front, 2.5” coils and fox 2.0 shocks with the Carli control arms. All of it works great! I have noticed that because the Buckets add 2” of height, this 2.5” kit is now a 4.5” lift kit, meaning I had to order 4.5” height shocks to make it work. The truck sits about 3” over what it previously sat with the factory coils. Just something to be aware of when ordering this kit. Overall super pleased with the functionality of this kit, and I highly recommend the front axle swap and rear leaf spring swap, it’s worth the investment!

      Great kit

I installed this kit on my 85 Crew Cab Dually I'm converting to 4wd. The kit worked out great with minimal modification to make it work on the 85 frame. Paired with BDS 4" lift springs and radius arms netted me nearly 8“ of frame lift.

      Good product

Just installed this kit on my 2WD 1995 f-250 Powerstroke. I don't have any miles on it yet, but from an install stand point this kit is better than some competitors that I have helped install in the past. The reason I went with SKY was because this kit is supposed to be a 0" lift. Since the plan for the truck is to be able to pull gooseneck trailers, this was a must. The coil buckets were the easiest part to install. All of the bolt holes were easy to get at while doing the hole layout in the frame. The radius arm bracket was mostly easy to install except for the bolts interfering with each other at the front bottom location, and the rear hole on the bottom of the bracket being behind the support and not being accessible for drilling thru the bracket into the frame. The panhard bar mount didn't allow for using a 1/2" drill bit as a center marker as the gussets were in line with the holes in the engine crossmember. I ended up having to mark them with a marker and drill them and the holes didn't quite line up so I had to ream the holes out a little larger to get the bolts to go thru. This panhard bar bracket is much stronger than others on the market hands down.

there are a couple things that I would change besides the ones mentioned above. 1. make an extension off the coil bucket to allow the use of bump stops on the front axle. 2. make the shock mount location offset in elevation from the spring mount the same as a factory bucket. Shock sourcing would be easier.

      Thank you for the review.
1.) There is actually a hole in the bottom of the coil bucket for the factory super duty bump stop, you just have to drill through the frame and it bolts up.
We designed it to be able to use stock super duty shocks and springs, the reason they are the same height is we have designed in about a 1.5-2' lift (depending on spring and engine weight) which gives the proper amount of clearance between the engine crossmember and axle for up travel. It is not designed as a zero lift, just a low lift, as low as possible. Although it will accommodate lift components.
