Achieve the required length for 52 inch rear springs by adjusting the front and rear hangers. Move them forward or backward, with a required 2 inches in either direction. Note that the rear spring bushings are narrower than the front ones, so be sure to use a 3/8" spacer on each side when installing the rear springs in the front.

Note: Upgrade your Chevy or GMC truck from 88-97 with our 6" SAS Hanger Kit (31.5" Spring Center). Compatible with newer Chevy 98-08 platforms when using a 78-79 Ford or Chevy Dana 44 or Dana 60 axle. Transform your ride for an improved driving experience.

Frame must be a 39.5 inner rail width. Modification of the shackle hangers is likely, we do not cover these mods.

This 6" SAS Hanger Kit (31.5" Spring Center) is designed for use with 73-87 Chevy front 47 inch leaf springs that have a 3 3/4 wide over all width. Some aftermarket springs may be narrower, so a spacer may be necessary for proper fitting. If you want to use 52 inch Chevy rear springs, you can easily adjust the hangers front to rear to accommodate them. Keep in mind that these springs will require a 3/8ths shim per side in order to properly fit into our hangers, as they are only 3" wide.

This kit will not work with the 99-04 Ford Super Duty axle. The reason is, that these axles are 37.5 spring pin width axles. The frame on all Chevy trucks is too narrow inside to hang the shackle hanger, and shackle, and get enough off set safely to match the leaf springs. Using a Chevy 2.5 wide plus bushings, 3.625 over all width, you would need a frame rail ID of 44.75. With off set shackles and hangers we can get a 39.5 frame to 41.5.

We do have a kit to use the 99-04 Ford Super duty axle under the Chevy truck platform. See CHEVY-SAS-SD. This kit is slightly more involved but uses a Toyota style SAS shackle hanger.

The 88-97 Chevy/GMC 6" SAS Hanger Kit (31.5" Spring Center) is a versatile and expertly designed solution for lifting your 88-08 pickup, whether 2wd or 4wd. With welded-on hangers and multiple spring combinations, this kit allows for easy installation and customization based on your specific needs and preferences. Get reliable results with the Chevy militia and Colorado k-5 forums as your guide.

It should be noted that Suburbans may need the rear ac lines to be relocated from the front body mount.

The 88-97 Chevy/GMC 6" SAS Hanger Kit allows for a general install length of 35-40 hours when combined with a lift and proper tools. This kit does not require re-gearing of the axles, and also eliminates the need for fine tuning or rear lift options.

Note: A good starting point for spring hanger eye to eye measurements is 46". This is a minimum length.

**Please refer to the diagram/picture above on where to properly measure the INSIDE of your frame.

For those using a Corp 14 from a donor truck we also offer the conversion parts needed above as an option. Spring pads, plates, and u bolts to move perch's out to match the 88-newer Chevy width.
