Engineered Around Proven Components

The Sky's BBC is designed around the popular 2005+ Ford Super Duty unit bearing platform utilizing either Sky's machined 8 on 6.5 Timken unit bearings or factory-style metric 2005+ Ford Super Duty unit bearings. These fit OEM Ford Super Duty steering knuckles, Reid Racing Super King Pin knuckles for custom Dana 60, Dana 80, Gearworks 10", Big Ben's fabricated housings and many rear bearing cups and brake bracket systems designed around 2005+ Ford unit bearings requiring High-Performance Braking

Rotors

Our 14-inch rotors are manufactured from Grade 50 steel, measuring 3/8-inch thick for exceptional durability and heat capacity. Precision-machined directional grooves improve heat dissipation, evacuate dust, mud, water and debris, maintain consistent braking performance, and reduce pad glazing during aggressive use.

6061 Aluminum Brake Hats. 

Each rotor mounts to a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum brake hat, reducing unsprung weight while providing exceptional strength and rigidity. Every hat is precision machined for accurate rotor alignment and long service life.

Wilwood Stopping Power

The BBC utilizes genuine Wilwood 6-piston forged calipers paired with medium-compound performance brake pads for excellent pedal feel, consistent braking performance, easy pad availability, and proven race durability.

Hardware Kit

• High-strength alloy 3/8"x 24 12-point hardware securely fastens each rotor to its 6061-T6 aluminum brake hat for exceptional clamping force, durability, and long-term reliability.
