The hardest part about installing this is figuring out how to support the truck without the axle or forward jack stands. Although I noticed with the front spring pins removed, the axle weight was removed, and the truck actually balanced with a jack stand just behind the springs, but... I reccomend caution.
I really liked the holes cut in the crossplate, they made install a breeze! Two of the holes lined up perfectly with factory rock guard mounting holes so you can just hold it in place with 2 fasteners and weld your problems away. There was a .125 gap between the factory crossmember and the crossplate that I filled completely with weld in the front. If you want to fill it in the back, you will need to drain and remove the radiator (I didn't bother, but it would be a little stronger I think). If you do weld all around, make sure you leave some drainage because the crossmember will let water through.
